Caitlin McCarthy in the running for CannesFilms Unlimited’s Writers Residency

Caitlin McCarthy is one of 18 pre-selected candidates for the CANNESFILMS UNLIMITED’s Writers Residency in Cannes, France. Partners include Canal+, Vivendi, The Black List, Festival de Cannes, Université Côte d'Azur, and the City of Cannes.

Participants in the Residency will develop a new original European film or TV series, in English.

As a pre-selected candidate, Caitlin will develop a synopsis for her WWII action thriller screenplay RESISTANCE and pitch her film idea in February 2021 to a jury of industry professionals, including Canal+ and the Black List.

From those 18 pitches, eight writers will be selected to attend a three-week-long residency in Cannes, France. There they will outline their film and attend the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
