JANUARY:
* My thriller A NATIVE LAND won Best Feature Screenplay at the 2020 Lindsey Film Festival: https://tinyurl.com/yabjf9vp
FEBRUARY:
* On Valentine’s Day, I woke up to an email from The Academy (as in Oscars) informing me that I was among the Top 10 highest scoring women in the Academy Nicholl competition. (WONDER DRUG reached the Top 50 in the 2019 Academy Nicholl competition out of over 7,000 entries.)
* I gave a 45-minute presentation and Q&A about screenwriting to Adam Pachter's "The Business of Screenwriting" course at Emerson College on February 5.

APRIL:

* WONDER DRUG reached the Top 13 in the 2020 Black List/Women in Film Feature Residency.

MAY:
* Lynsey Murdoch (BBC Writersroom Scottish Voice 2020) and I decided to collaborate on a new TV project set in New England & Scotland in the 1800s. Stay tuned for updates on that pilot in 2021!
JULY:

AUGUST:
* A NATIVE LAND advanced to the Semifinalist round of the TSL Free Screenplay Contest out of over 13,000 submissions.
SEPTEMBER:
* I participated in a Final Draft panel discussion “Breaking In: The Writers Journey,” moderated by Sade Sellers: https://tinyurl.com/yd3knefw
* The Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting invited me as its guest to the 2020 Austin Film Festival, as a way to celebrate my screenplay WONDER DRUG’s achievement of being in the Top 10 highest scoring screenplays by women screenwriters from the 2019 Academy Nicholl competition (consisting of fellows, finalists, and semifinalists).
OCTOBER:
* The Academy started following me on Twitter.
NOVEMBER:

* My episode of "Coffee with Konnie" aired on WCCA-TV 194. Former Worcester Mayor & Councilor-At-Large Konnie Lukes (first woman ever elected Mayor in Worcester!) interviewed me about WONDER DRUG as well as remote teaching in Worcester.
